Chesapeake, Va. -- Towne Place at Greenbrier, located on Eden Way North, just off Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake, will host a series of free events between May 29 and September 12, 2009. The two components of the seasonal series will be the Towne Place at Greenbrier Summer Concert Series Sponsored by ABNB Federal Credit Union and the Towne Place at Greenbrier Summer Art Show.
Last year’s concert series events were a huge success, attracting hundreds of Chesapeake residents each Friday evening. Beer and wine will be served for $4 each, and 100% of proceeds will directly benefit CHIP of Chesapeake, an organization dedicated to supporting local families and children.
The concert series will take place every Friday (May 29 – Sept. 4) from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The performers are scheduled as follows:

The Towne Place at Greenbrier Summer Art Show will take place Saturday September 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The show will be located in the center’s open grassy area, where local artists will exhibit and sell artwork, jewelry and more.
