Sara Jo Rubin

As the Chief Operating Officer, Sara Jo keeps Rubin Communications Group in sync each day and ensures that it continues to be the go-to firm for sound advice, creative promotional concepts and positive media coverage.

Prior to joining RCG, Sara Jo worked at Jewish Family Service of Tidewater, both as the Coordinator of Volunteer Services and as a Case Manager for Older Adults. Additionally, Sara Jo's background in human resources includes working for the Virginia Employment Commission as well as for Thalhimers Department Store as the Assistant Personnel Manager.

Sara Jo's fingers and energy are in the middle of almost everything that happens at RCG from developing vendor relationships to overseeing financial affairs, and from assuring quality control to helping key clients meet their promotional objectives. She serves on the boards of Temple Israel Synagogue in Norfolk, The Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities and The Women's Cabinet of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater. She is active in the Central Business District Association, where she was honored with the Outstanding Member of the Year. Sara Jo is a native of Norfolk and a graduate of Virginia Tech. In spite of being a Hokie, Sara Jo and Joel's children chose the University of Virginia to pursue their education, Joel's alma mater.
