David Brandt

David brings a remarkable mix of experience to the Rubin Communications Group. A former television news reporter and assignment editor, David also possesses a thorough knowledge of sales and marketing, working for Landmark Communications as business advertising account coordinator and also as a former small business owner.

You may remember David from his years at WVEC, Channel 13. During his stint with our ABC affiliate he won an Excel Award for Best Series Reporting and was nominated for a Regional Emmy Award. Prior to joining 13 News, he worked as a reporter for CBS affiliate WRBL in Columbus, Georgia as well as the Family Channel in Virginia Beach.

With the perspective of a journalist and a businessperson, David sees an issue from many different angles and provides our clients with a balanced approach to any issue or project.

David is a board member of the Virginia Zoo and an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Norfolk. He lives in Norfolk with his wife, Ashlyn, and their 2 children, Hallsey and Lucas.
