Joel Rubin’s Media Training Program Scores with Audiences

Joel Rubin APR was an award winning political, issues, and feature reporter for NBC affiliate WAVY TV in Hampton Roads for 15 years.  Since starting Rubin Communications Group in 1991, he has frequently been asked by leading companies in the region and state to train managers and rank and file employees in how the print and broadcast media works.  His program, called “Reporters are People Too”, demystifies the media by teaching audiences about journalists’ motivations and explaining the basics of news coverage.
