Rubin Communications Group In Action

Hampton Apartment Rentals Up Thanks to RCG Ad Campaign

To help attract tenants to a new upscale apartment complex in Hampton, Drucker & Falk Real Estate, on behalf of the project’s owners,  Collins Enterprises, asked Rubin Communications Group for a creative advertising concept.

Our idea? Let the first set of residents talk about why they chose The Heritage at Settlers Landing in a multi-week campaign in the Daily Press, the Peninsula’s daily newspaper.

We asked for a diverse group of renters and found them, a Hampton University student who sought a “sanctuary from noisy dorm life” to prepare for law school; a retired history teacher who wanted to live close to her daughter and the inviting downtown waterfront; and a young couple who are aerospace engineers, working at nearby NASA Langley.

The inviting ads, designed by Andra Stein, worked.  Within a couple weeks, seven more units rented, and the client asked us to run the series again.

“It is a wonderful community, and we really enjoyed meeting the residents who we profiled,” says Belinda Coulter, who managed the project for RCG. “We were thrilled to hear about the positive reaction and are confident more people will discover the value of living at The Heritage at Settlers Landing thanks to our efforts and the quality of the development itself.”
